THE ROLE
The Investment Product Senior Analyst works closely with the Investment Product Analysts (IPAs) to provide support for MFS’ investment strategies by running and analyzing product data, in addition to peer reviewing the team’s work.
Acts as the day-to-day contact in supporting a range of process improvement activities, with a focus on key projects and advancement of initiatives specific to departmental processes. Utilizes strong attention to detail, reviews data, uncovers possible trends, escalating them to the Director of Business Operations, and utilizes manager’s analysis to enhance the best practices of the team.
Additionally, the individual participates in department wide projects, performing support functions on behalf of the team. This role is expected to provide supportive partnership across the department to execute on solutions, decrease operational risk and promote long-term efficiency, as well as to provide informal guidance to individuals in the analyst role.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Runs and evaluates data, and performs tasks varying in complexity, in support of the Investment Product Analyst (IPA) team.
- Performs the peer review function within the IPA team.
- Works with Director of Business Operations to deliver actionable insights to support business and team objectives.
- Builds strong working relationships by combining strong organizational skills with a growing business understanding to ensure deliverables are executed on time. This role liaises with other functional groups in the department relative to their participation in the lifecycle of a project or initiative.
- Participates in developing and enhancing operational processes and AI tools to help the IPA team achieve greater efficiency. Helps mitigate risks by providing feedback to management or team lead on existing operations.
- Contribute to status meetings, update status reports, deploy meeting notes with clear, actionable next steps.
- Assumes additional responsibilities as requested.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience.
- 2-5+ years’ relevant experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) required.
- Desire to develop and foster strong interpersonal relationships.
- Strong aptitude for analytical work, strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, exhibiting a positive, collaborative, flexible disposition with the ability to handle routine tasks independently and to collaborate on bigger projects as part of a team and under manager supervision
- Working knowledge of the following analytical tools recommended: Morningstar Direct, eVestment Alliance, Factset SPAR, and Bloomberg.
Base Salary Range: $88,000.00 – $126,000.00
