Leadership Summit

The Member-only* IMEA Leadership Summit brought together members of all the IMEA Executive Councils to candidly discuss issues impacting key business areas of the investment management industry. Agenda items were identified by leaders of the Data, Distribution, Marketing and Product Councils. Highlights included:

  • Strategic Imperatives in U.S. Advisor-Sold Asset Management – Broadridge Financial Solutions shared their perspective on the functional trends and strategic priorities in advisor-sold asset management. The discussion focused on the shifting needs and growing expectations of individual investors and how they continue to accelerate, transforming the roles asset managers play in supporting financial advisors. Asset managers continue to look at data both to define their competitive advantages, and to develop strategic initiatives that deploy them in a way that optimizes the firm’s limited resources. Utilizing the joint Broadridge / IMEA survey results, this session explored the strategic imperatives facing asset managers, and the function-specific impacts across distribution, marketing and product.
  • GenAI Transformative Impact on Asset Management – In this session, attendees heard from BCG on how GenAI has made the power of AI more accessible to all asset managers. BCG shared results on their recent study outlining five high impact uses of GenAI for asset managers which included efficiency gains, personalization, knowledge management, research assistants and technology development.
  • Talent Acquisition & Retention – Panelists from two industry executive search firms, Kathy Freeman Company and Ridgeway Partners, as well as Natixis Investment Managers talent acquisition leaders shared insight on industry trends and successful hiring approaches to overcome the challenges of finding and retaining leaders and team members.
  • Interactive Brainstorming Sessions – SS&C shared research and perspective on the challenges and successes of investment management firms and how they are approaching priorities to maximize across the board team engagement.
  • Executive Roundtable
  • Networking Opportunities
